About BETA Corporation
Established in 2001, BETA Corporation has been involved in green field development for many of the most prominent wind and solar projects in the United States. This includes responsibilities for all land owner contact from initial meetings, to agreement completion, to pre-construction. As a key member of the development team, BETA activities have also included final site determination, obtaining meteorological tower permits, and authoring good will initiatives. Additional services have included determination of transmission routes, obtaining transmission agreements and land lease/purchases for substations, operations and maintenance facilities, and temporary lay down areas.
BETA has recruited, hired, trained, and deployed in excess of 100 land agents. We have also organized and operated a paralegal services group and title team, and a mapping department to aid land agents in prioritizing and reporting land acquisition status. At the request of our customer, BETA designed and implemented a secure online database that coordinated all landowner contacts and ownership documents for over 50 wind farm projects.
Our skill sets have come together to allow Beta to perform large scale site evaluations. We have assisted our customers in assessing large numbers of potential sites in a short amount of time. This included determining the viability of over 100 projects in more than 200 counties; offering competition analysis, review of ordinances for wind farms, solar installations, met towers and SoDAR; and rapid acquisition of GIS data.
As an early and steady participant in utility scale renewable energy development, BETA Corporation has extensive experience in all aspects of wind and solar land development and transmission leasing, and can offer valuable services to any land development team.
